Rev. Collon D. James, of the Illinois Conference of the M.E. Church, died at Bonita, KS, on January 31, 1888, aged 83 years. The deceased had been in the ministry over 50 years, and presiding elder during a portion of the time. He leaves 10 children, and a host of relatives in Helt Township, where he is well known, to mourn his death.
