A member of the Order of Preachers, Father Jean-Daniel Balet passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013, aged 48, following a lengthy illness which lasted ten years.
Vicar of the parish of Saint-Paul of Cologny from 1996 to 1999, he served as almoner for Geneva youths and curate of the named parish of Saint-Paul. Almoner of the Hôpital Cantonal de Genève and of the Institut Catholique La Salésienne, he was also an auditor of the Officialité diocésaine.
Requiem Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, June 5 2013 at 15 hrs., at the church Saint Paul of Genève. Interment followed at the Cimetière de Cologny.
