Lucille Claudette Crump passed away after a short illness on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Haynesville, LA, where she was a member, with Dr. Shelby Cowling officiating. The family will receive friends at Bailey Funeral Home from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

Mrs. Crump, a life long resident of this area, graduated high school in Haynesville and later attended Southern Arkansas University, where she graduated as a registered nurse. During her lengthy nursing career, she worked at Evergreen Home for Boys, Presbyterian Village, Heritage Nursing Home, Home Health Services, and Claiborne Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Crump had only recently retired from nursing.

She was an avid dog lover and raised many beautiful Siberian Huskies. Mrs. Crump was very proud of her dogs and never failed to share her dog stories with anyone she met. She also enjoyed sharing her "Lobo" with nursing home residents, which brought about many long forgotten smiles.

Being a Christian, one of the highlights of Mrs. Crump's life was her journey to the Holy Land with her daughter-in-law, Linda Crump.

Claudette was born April 27, 1931 to Lucille and Claude Mayfield. She was preceded in death by husband, Billy O. Crump and son, Kevin Jett Crump. She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Dale Crump and wife Linda, of Gainsville, FL, David Crump and wife, Cecelia, of Haynesville, LA, one brother, Dick Mayfield and wife, Dolline of Haynesville, LA; two sisters, Shirley Bernard of Haynesville, La, and Delores Craig of Price, TX; seven grandchildren, Flint Crump and wife, Jackie, Ginger Trampus, and husband, Andy, Brent Crump, Stacy Crump and wife, Dr. Misty Crump, Tracy Crump, Shawn Nelson, and wife, Joni, and Kevlyn Crump; twelve great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brent Crump, Tracy Crump, Stacy Crump, Shawn Nelson, Craig Prestidge, and Denny Mc. Prestidge. Honorary pall bearer will be Flint Crump.
