Mr. Land was born February 25, 1927, in Chopin, LA, to the late Ece Land and Harriet Dona Beebe Land Rachal and was called to his Heavenly home in Shreveport, LA, on July 19, 2014. He retired from Red Ball Motor Freight following thirty years of dedicated service as a truck driver. During his entire working career, Mr. Land carried a nearly perfect driving record. He was a guide on Black Lake, enjoyed fishing; gardening and you could say he had one heck of a green-thumb. Mr. Land always enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He loved his family and will be remembered for the jokes he always enjoyed telling.
Mr. Land was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sheree Burns; one grand-daughter, Melissa Risinger; step-father, Gus Rachal, Sr.; one brother, Claude Rachal and one sister, Janice Rachal.
Left to cherish the beautiful memories of Mr. Robert L. "Bob" will be his beloved wife of forty-four years; two sons and one daughter-in-law; one daughter; two brothers and sisters-in-law; four sisters and two brothers-in-law; many grand; great-grandchildren, numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends.
