John Clark, 87, of 203 North Market Street, Carmichaels, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, 1969, in Greene County Memorial Hospital of burns suffered in an accident in his home Sunday when he fell against a stove. A son of Francis M. and Elizabeth Guesman Clark, he was born February 2, 1882, at Carmichaels, where he resided all his life. His wife, Pheobe Burns Clark, died March 28, 1960. Mr. Clark was a member of the First Methodist Church of Carmichaels. Surviving are six daughters; Mrs. Anna Barnhart of Waynesburg; Mrs. Hester Broderick of Carmichaels; Miss Dora Clark of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Wilbur (Alice) Swift, of Carmichaels; Mrs. Thomas (Betty) O'Brochta, of Jefferson and Mrs Jack (Helen) Nesbitt of Pittsburgh; three sons: Terry of Cleveland, Ohio; William of Pittsburgh and Andrew of Pittsburgh; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday with burial in Laurel Point Cemetery.
