"Mr Girvan Crawford, "Balmoral", 75 acres (Kilkivan goldfields area) bought the latter from Mr Mark Knowles 7 years ago, 5 miles from Kilkivan, Copper Mine Creek is "Mayfield" boundary. Up to October Mr Crawford was a bullock teamster, he is now going in for dairying and farming; good soil for lucerne, corn and potatoes. About 6 years ago, Mr Crawford married a Miss Ellen Hayden, whose parents reside in "Olive Green" on the Mary. They have been blessed with twins (two girls), aged 4½ years and a son 5 years.
