Born on July 11, 1925 in Kansas City, Mo. he was the son of the late James Bernard and Elizabeth Griffin Annis. He was educated in the Missouri school system and attended San Diego State University. He served his country in the US Navy serving in WWII, traveled the US & world, a retired California State Highway Patrol who escorted President JFK, RVer, teacher, realtor, tech geek and sharp as a tack right up to the very end. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Maxine Olga Christianson Annis in 2004 and his son Michael Lee Annis in 1971. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ginger Crim (Mark) of China Grove, and son Tim Annis, grandchildren, Mike Crim of China Grove and Jonathon Crim of Milford, Connecticut.
