CROSWELL-Ruth E. Hall, age 88, died Wednesday, January 31, 1996 at McKenzie Memorial Hospital, Sandusky.

She was born January 2, 1908 in Brown City, daughter of the late Anson and Salome (Swartz) Dafoe.

She married Grosvenor S. "Jack" Hall on January 31, 1936 in Angola, Ind. He died November 19, 1992.

Mrs. Hall was a retired Schoolteacher having taught 16 years in Sanilac Co. Rural Schools and 16 years in Cros-ex Schools. She graduated from Yale High School in 1925, Michigan State Normal College in 1927 and Eastern Michigan University in 1951. She was a member of Croswell United Methodist Church, the 50 Plus Club and Blue Water Art Group.

She is survived by two sisters, Mary Wheaton of Boonsboro, MD; Joy Cameron of Yale; several nieces and nephews including Bruce and Dale Filbeck, Donna McKenney, Jack Wheaton, Janet Tritapoe and Karen Kerr.

She was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Dafoe and a sister Madeline Hirsch.

Services were held Saturday at Pomeroy Funeral Home with Rev. Grant Lobb of Croswell United Methodist officiating. Burial was in Croswell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Croswell United Methodist Church.
