Nancy Elizabeth Fudge was born March 14, 1865, near Derby, Lucas County, Iowa. At the age of 14 she came to the vicinity of Severy, Kansas, where she lived until she departed this life, February 7, 1930.

She was married to J. M. Love, November 11, 1886, who with seven children are left to mourn her death; Vernon Jolly of Piedmont, Vincel of Fall River, Zoe Evenson of Piedmont, Raleigh of Howard, Opal Schuler, Eads, Colo.; Clarice Masterson, Dodge City, Kansas; Clayton at home. There were also seven grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters, besides other relatives and a host of friends. One daughter, Golda Crabtree preceded her mother in death.

The children were all with her in her last illness and all was done for her that loving hands could do. She was of a kind loving nature and was loved by all who knew her.

"A precious one from us has gone,
A Voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our hearts
That never can be filled."

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock, Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Severy. Interment was made in the Twin Grove Cemetery at Severy, Kansas.
