Mr. Broere is survived by two children and their spouses, Lisa (Bruce) Bond of Somers, NY and David (Kathleen Stark) Broere of Greenfield, IN.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Robert A. (Stephanie Watson) Broere, Elizabeth (Joshua) Koepper both of McCordsville, IN. John W. (Molly Flavin) Broere of Elsah, IL. and Jordan W. Boere of Somers, NY; and three great grandchildren, Lily Ann Broere, Aimee Broere and Mackenzie Koepper.
Mr. Broere, son of Bastian and Wilhelmina Broere, was born and raised in Babylon, Long Island.
A WWII veteran, Mr. Boere flew the P47 “Thunderbolt” fighter in the European Theater of Operations. He had the honor of being the second pilot to start a mission, taking off from German Soil.
After WWII he attended Oswego and Syracuse Universities where he received a Masters Degree in education. He went on to teach Industrial Arts at New Canaan High School, New Canaan, CT..
In 1989 Mr. Broere and his wife moved to Greenfield, IN. where the spent their retirement. They attended 5th Church of Christ, Scientist in Broad Ripple.

Mr. Broere will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery.
