The death occurred at her residence, 10 Isabella Street, Queanbeyan, early on Wednesday morning of Mrs. Bridget
Ann Reid at the age of 90 years. Deceased, formerly Miss Davoren, of Collector, married the late Mr. Joseph Reid, of Tallagandra. The couple celebrated their golden wedding in 1938. Mr. Reid pre-deceased his wife in November, 1942. For many years they lived at Tallagandra, but later purchased a home in Isabella Street owing to Mrs. Reid's ill-health. Though not enjoying the best of health for some years the late Mrs. Reid was able to get about and was of a happy disposition and a devoted mother. She is survived by six sons, Patrick Joseph (Queanbeyan), Ambrose Joseph (Bungendore), George William, Thomas Joseph, Frederick Stanley, Roy Timothy (Tallagandra) and three daughters Bridget Jane (Mrs. Murphy). Amelia May (Mrs. Keir, Canberra). and Miss Deloris Lillian (Queanbeyan). Two other daughters, Mesdames R. Gallagher (Bungendore) and Bradshaw, predeceased their mother. There are 58 grandchildren (20 of whom were in the Services, during the last World War) and 57 great-grand-children. The interment was made in the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Gundaroo beside her late husband, following a service in Gundaroo Church yesterday The officiating priest was Rev. Father Fitzgerald. The pall-bearers were four of her sons, George, Thomas, Roy and Fred.
