Margaret, wife of Mr. Ole Wold of this township, died on Friday after a long illness caused by cancer of the stomach, having been confined to her bed for about three months and suffering sorely. The funeral took place from the residence Monday forenoon. Rev. Sattre of Evansville, officiating. The remains were interred in the Brandon cemetery, a large concourse of friends and neighbors paying their respects to the deceased. Mrs. Wold leaves besides a husband, six children, the youngest 8 years old to mourn her loss.

She was born in Norway, near Trondhjem, July 7th 1844, and was married to Mr. Wold in 1869. Shortly after their marriage they immigrated to this country, settling at Rushford, this state. From there they moved to Jackson county, remaining there until 1882, when they moved to their present pleasant home in this township about one mile northeast of the village. Three brothers and two sisters are living and reside in Norway.
