ST. PAUL (Special Dispatch) - Isabella B. Slawinski, 76, of St. Libory, died in a St. Paul hospital Friday afternoon after being ill the past week. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the St. Libory Catholic Church, with the Rev. Andrew Augustyn offering the mass of resurrection. The parish rosary will be recited at the church in St. Libory at 8 p.m. Sunday, followed by the Christian Mothers' Rosary. Visitation will be at the Kenting Mortuary at St. Paul. Burial will be in the Calvary Section of the Westlawn Memorial Park in Grand Island.
The daughter of John and Mary Sumovich Augustyn, she was born at Genoa on Feb. 22, 1895. In 1902 the family moved to Elba. She was married to Stanley Slawinski at Elba on Oct. 6, 1914. They lived at Duncan until 1920, when they moved to a farm southeast of St. Libory.
Survivors include a son, Roman of St. Libory; a brother, Charles of Elba, and two sisters, Mrs. Stanley Knothe of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Henry Baum of Lincoln. Besides her husband, who died in 1958, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecilia Augustyn and Mrs. Marie Hampten.
