Mary E. Fudge was born at Muncy, Indiana, June 9, 1837 and departed this life June 30, 1917, at the advanced age of 80 years, 21 days. Daughter of Jacob Sr. & E. Fudge. She came with her parents to the State of Illinois when but a young girl and remained but a short time. They came to Union Township, in Lucas County in about 1845. This State being yet a territory. She grew to womanhood in that county, and on June 18, 1857, she was united in marriage to Abraham Sayers. To this union were born two daughters and two sons.
