Blanche was my grandmother, my father Leonard's mother. I have wonderful memories of going to the Friendship Café which she owned and operated. I can still smell her chicken gravy! She was an amazing cook.

Grandma was very crafty too. I have vivid memories of her beautiful embroidery on all the quilts she made, with a lit Kent cigarette in an ashtray always at her side.

In her retirement years she sold her home and lived in a trailer behind my Aunt Cleo (her daughter) and Uncle Ed's house. Sleeping in the bunk beds in her trailer was always a treat.

She was a very loving grandmother and I will love her forever.
