Milton - Robert Richard Gokey Sr, 67 of Milton, passed away peacefully Saturday April 4, 2015 in the Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home in Burlington.

Bob was born April 21, 1947 in Jeffersonville, the son of the late Byron Wilford and Therese A. Boivin Gokey Brooks.

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1965.

He was employed by IBM and then went to work for Advanced Machine and Tool Company in Milton as a Machinist.

He served his country with US Army serving two tours in Vietnam.

While serving in the US Army in Germany in 1972, a tragic fire claimed the lives of Bob's first wife, Rethia Jean and their son Bob Jr.

On November 3, 2013 he married Virginia Latimer in Milton.

He was also predeceased by his nephew, Bryan Gokey in 1995 and stepson, Thomas Lemire.

Burial will be held later in the spring with full Military Honors in the VT Veterans Cemetery in Randolph at a time to be announced later.
