Mrs. Jennie Cathey McWhirter, wife of Mr. J. C. McWhirter, died in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday afternoon, January 6, 1913, of complication of diseases. She was reared at Boonshill and lived a number of years in Fayetteville, proving herself to be an excellent woman. She is survived by her husband and three children, the following is from the Birmingham News:
Funeral services over the remains of Mrs. J. C. McWhirter will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence, 918 Second Avenue, West End. Rev. E. T. Lee, of the West End Presbyterian Church will officiate at the service. The interment will be at Elmwood. The pall bearers are Dan Jacobs, M. R. Hicks, W. H. Duke, H. C. Booth, G. P. Caldwell, Herbert Wood, and E. B. Williamson. Mrs. McWhirter died Monday afternoon at the family residence.
