George Charles Searcy, 63, passed away Tuesday afternoon in the V. A. Hospital in Gainesville. George was born on April 16, 1946 in Lakeland, Florida to Luke and Ann Collins Searcy. He had resided in Jacksonville for many years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during Vietnam. Mr. Searcy was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Leslie Searcy and a brother, Fred Searcy. Survivors include daughters , Lindsay, Leah,...; son Luke George Searcy,...; sister , Linda...; brother, Jack Searcy [1951–2009]; ...; and several nieces, nephews and loving friends. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Arlington Park Cemetery, Lone Star Road. Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. assisting the family.
