Eugene C. Anthony Jr., 88, of Olmstead, Ky., died June 8, 2006, at Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at Austin & Bell Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Gillespie and Andy Perry officiating.

Interment followed at Robertson County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Anthony was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Robertson County.

He worked as a farmer and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Anthony is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Wells Anthony, parents, Eugene C. and Sarah Elizabeth Powell Anthony Sr., brothers, Phillip Powell and Angelo (Bubbie) Anthony, and sisters, Ann Anthony Gower and Virginia Anthony Teasley.

Survivors include daughter, Sarah Margaret Anthony; three nieces; eight nephews; 12 great-nieces; nine great-nephews; 19 great-great-nieces; and nine great-great-nephews.

Pallbearers were Phillip, Watt, Edwin, Jimmy, John Paul Anthony, Wayne Gower, Mike Teasley, and Kelvin Fuqua.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark Bourne, Ronnie Morris, Tom Lawrence, Fletcher Davidson, Sammy and Buddy Bryant, Billy Vogel, Carley Adkins, Billy Head, Billy Burchett, Emmitt Davidson, Jason Baggett, Bubba Anthony, Jackie Baggett, Walt Anthony Jr., Jamie Anthony and Mitchell Key.

Austin & Bell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
