He was born on Dec. 27, 1944 in Madison, the son of John J. and Rose (Endres) Maier of Martinsville. Johnny was a dedicated employee of St. Francis Xavier Parish, serving over 50 years as custodian. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 3924. Johnny enjoyed playing cards with his friends, and watching sports and western movies on television.
