Fairbury – Robert Kenneth Beckley, 87, of Fairbury, passed away at 6:20 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Fairbury. Fr. Scott Archer will be officiating.
Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Rosary will be recited at 4:30pm on Monday.
Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
Robert was born March 20,1928 in Fairbury the son of John and Fredericka Armbruster Beckley. He married Martha Travis Wagner on August 10, 1974 in Fairbury. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Anna (Scott) Hoffman of Fairbury, Victor (Stephanie) Beckley of Jamestown, IN, Cathy (Scott) Cordell of El Paso; step-children, Steven (Becky) Wagner of Fairbury, Sheila (Tim) Leake of Wright City, MO, Tim (Brenda) Wagner of Fredericksburg, VA, Tom (Lisa) Wagner of Towanda, and Paula (Chris) Hackman of Fairbury; six grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Robert owned and operated Beckley Service, specializing in woodworking, for more than 40 years.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Fairbury where he was a part of the Knights of Columbus.
