She was born on February 13. 1939 in Tazewell County, VA and was the daughter of the late Everett and Verna A Patrick Lambert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers: Margaret, Hazel, Joyce, Shirley, Dorothy, James and Bill; also her son: Mark David Cornwell; great-grandchildren: Robert, Travis and Jasmine Boothe.
She will be affectionately and lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, James H Cornwell, Sr; sons: James Cornwell and wife, Sheila, Charles Cornwell and wife, Mary, Chad Cornwell and wife Chrissy, Jonathan Cornwell; daughters: Judy Page and husband, Robert, Loretta Perdue and husband, Mike, Margaret Page and husband, Roger; sister: Ruth Jackson; brother: Paul Lambert; grandchildren: Kaylee, Hope, Charity, Gregory, Melinda, Deanna, Linda, Robbi, Heather, Miley and Cole; great-grandchildren: Megan, Justin, Chasity, Faith, Matthew Page, Matthew Cornwell, Jacob, Isabella, Thomas, David, Grace and Riley.
A service to celebrate Mrs.Cornwell’s life will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bluefield, VA Church of God with Rev Tony Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday May 13, 2015 at the Bluefield VA Church of God from 6-8 p.m. Dudley Memorial is serving the Cornwell family.
