FUNERAL SET FOR
VICTIM OF FALL

Services For John L. Lloyd
Conducted From Baptist
Church At Ensley

Funeral services were to be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Ensley, for John L. Lloyd, 45, of 3100 Avenue J. Ensley, who died at the Baptist Hospital Tuesday afternoon after a fall through an elevator shaft at the Standard Oil Company plant. Burial will be in Elmwood with Echols & Angwin in charge.

Lloyd slipped from a joist while working on the third floor of the building, according to Construction Foreman H. D. Dugan, and fell into three feet of waste oil at the shaft bottom. At the hospital it was not thought at first he was seriously hurt.

Surviving are the widow, three daughters, Mrs. R. I. Tate and Misses Eunice and Dora D. Lloyd, four sons, Grady, Jewell, Johnny and Chester, the father, Charles B. Lloyd, of Anniston, and three sisters, Mrs. Harry L. Salvo, of Birmingham, Mrs. Allen Van Fossen, and Mrs. R. L. Irving, of Anniston.
