Helena was a daughter of James D. Wallis and Jane Spencer Wallis.

Helena M. Wallis was first married to Ralph Lawton Broadbent, October 11, 1883, Ottawa, Ontario.

Secondly, Mrs. Helena M. Wallis Broadbent married John Morphy in Winnipeg, Man. on February 3, 1915.

Many Ottawa friends will deeply regret to learn of the death, which occurred yesterday at Somerset, Manitoba, of Mrs. Wm. Morphy, who was formerly Mrs. R.L. Broadbent of this city.

The funeral will take place at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Wallis, 388 Kent St.

She is survived by two sons, Harry L., the well known Ottawa Hockey player, and Spencer; one daughter, Mrs. William Manchester. Mr. C.J. Wallis, Ottawa and Mr. George Wallis in France were brothers of the late Mrs. Morphy - formerly resident of Ottawa and left here several years ago.

Her marriage registration in 1915, Winnipeg, is to John Morphy. Her obituary refers to Wm. Morphy. John Morphy of Somerset (d. 1930) had a brother William, of North Gower, as of 1930.
