Mr. Strode was born about 1839 and was a son of James and Sarah Strode of Farmers, Illinois (post office Ipava). He married a woman named Hannah and they had 3 children in Illinois prior to moving to Lincoln, Nebraska in the early 1880's where his son Ed became a hotel proprietor. I have placed Mr. Strode's memorial in this cemetery upon the assumption since he died in Lincoln and his wife, Hannah is buried here, then he most likely is also.
