Mary Miller, 89, Hays, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. She was born Aug. 15, 1920, in St. Peter to Joseph and Clara (Riedel) Billinger.
She married Norbert Miller on Oct. 20, 1941, in Severin. He preceded her in death Feb 2, 2001
She was a homemaker She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Hays.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Miller and wife, Mary, Wyandotte, Okla., and Pete Miller and wife, Martha, Hays; a daughter, Shirley Droegemeier and husband, Howard, Hays; a brother, Ed Billinger, Denver; three sisters, Clementine Shives, Hoisington, Barbara Knoll, Derby, and Rosalie Fabricius, Great Bend; eight grandchildren, Blake and Brian Miller, Jackie House, Troy, Tobin and Travis Miller, and Jeff and Jamie Droegemeier; 14 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Roy Dean Miller; two brothers, Charles and Alvin Billinger; and a great-grandson, Carter James Miller.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria. Friends can call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6 p.m. Friday, with a parish vigil at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or Hays Good Samaritan Center in care of the funeral home.
