Mrs. Agnes Cornwell, the former Agnes Parent, widow of the late Jos. H. Corwell, died Thursday, Sept. 1, at her home in New Lebanon Center.

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. H. G. Silvernail, her pastor, were observed at the home, Saturday, Sept. 3, at two p.m., with burial in the family lot in the Cemetery of the Evergreens.

Mr. Cornwell, her late husband, will be remembered by older readers of The Courier for a series of interesting historical reminiscences published in its columns, some years ago, over the signature of “Old Fogy.”

Mrs. Cornwell herself was a loyal and helpful member of the Columbia County Historical Society for many years. She was a member of the Congregational church of New Lebanon (the White Church), since 1876, and a regular attendant till the infirmities of age overtook her.

She was a kindly and universally loved neighbor whose empty place will never be exactly filled.
---
Agnes married Joseph H. Cornwell on 10 September 1881.
