Mr. Holbrooks was born November 10, 1902, in Elliot County, Kentucky, a son of John H. and Lila Binion Holbrooks, and had resided in McDonald before coming here five years ago.
A former coal miner in West Virginia, he had been employed at the Brier Hill Plant of Sheet and Tube Co., for 13 years. He was a member of the Evening Light Gospel Mission in McDonald.
He leaves a son Ray Johnson, of Mineral Ridge; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Ruby) Wilson, of Olive Hill, Kentucky and 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Parker, McDonald, Mrs Louis Trachsel, of Akron.
Friends may call tonight at the Holeton Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert E. Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Kerr's Riverside Cemetery.
