As Poet and Playwright, he is remembered for his works "Poesia Rasa," "Poesia Escènica," "Ball de Sang," "Poemes de Seny i Cabell," "Rua de Llibres," "Cortina de Muralles," "Calç i Rajoles" and "Tercera Divisió." As screenwriter, he worked in the films "Gart," "No Compteu amb els Dits," "Umbracle" and "Cua de Cuc." Also, he was one of the founders of the prestigious magazine "Dau al Set" in 1948. Among his visual poems "Cap de Bou," "Solstici," "Mutació," "Eclipsi," "Poema Visual i Transitable" and "El Convidat." He died in his home, after a fall from the stairs. According the newspapers, he was cremated. Shortly after his death, it was created the Foundation Joan Brossa for the exhibition of his works.
