Mary Ellen Wagner, 84, of Newton passed away at 7:01 pm Monday, July 6, 2015, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Mary was born on September 6, 1930, in Ste. Marie, the daughter of Louis and Lenora (Huber) Spannagel. She married Eugene O. Wagner on February 16, 1949, in Olney, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2015.

Mary is survived by seven children, Janet Waggle of Newton, Bob (Jeanne) Wagner of Newton, Jim (Kathy) Wagner of Newton, Susan Dowland of Norfolk, Virginia, Joan (Lindell) Galloway of Newton, Don Wagner of Newton, and Tom (Colleen) Wagner of Montrose; son-in-law, Steve Rudolphi of Watson; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Mary Kay) Spannagel of Janesville; and brothers-in-law, John Dale (Sharon) Wagner of Newton, and Melvin Wagner of Champaign.
