Funeral services for Curtis Barker, 70, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mullican-Little Funeral Home. Services are to be conducted by Robert Howard of the Morton Street Church of Christ in Denison. Burial will be in the Dodd City Cemetery.

Barker was a former resident of Fannin County. He died Friday at his home in Mesquite, where he had lived for the past seven years. He lived for 20 years in San Diego, Calif. prior to moving to Mesquite.

He was born Aug. 15, 1913 in the Lannius Community, son of James M. and Leda Barker.

He married Lola Jones Sept. 26, 1934 in Hugo, Okla.

Barker was a retired mechanic and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of Mesquite; one son, Joe Barker of Mesquite; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Pierce of Mesquite; brothers, Earl Barker of Garland and John Barker of Imperial Valley, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Eugene Pearson of Savoy; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
