Irvin G Baker, 56, died late Wednesday evening while mushroom hunting near Lake Santee in Decatur County, April 9, 1997.
Born Nov. 18, 1940 in St. Joseph County, he was the son of Thurman E and Charlotte (Robbins) Baker. He married Linda L Ryckman on Nov. 19, 1965. He had lived in the Andersonville Community for many years. He was a retired employee of Allison Division of G. M. as a lathe operator; moreover, he was most recently employed by Roots Blower in Connersville as a machinist. He was a U S Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post # 777.
Surviving are his wife; Linda Ryckman of Andersonville; one daughter, Mary Katherine Atkins at home; three brothers: David Baker of East Moline, Illinois, Marion Baker of Litchfield Park, Arizona, Gerald Baker of Buena Park, California; three sisters; Ester Emerson of Vincennes, Janet Feightner of Hazelton, Jeannie Cox of Clarksburg. Also surviving are one granddaughter.
Services are 10 a. m. Saturday at Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. Harlan Cox officiating. Visitation is 4 - 8 p. m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
