British singer, actress, and entertainer. Black, who was born Priscilla Maria Veronica White, was a British entertainer who achieved popularity in various areas of entertainment. She began her career, being influenced by the Beatles, in singing. Black had two number-one hits in "Anyone Who Had A Heart" and "You're My World" and eleven Top Ten hits on the British charts in the late 1960s and early 1970s. "Anyone Who Had A Heart" was the United Kingdom's biggest-selling single by a female artist in the 1960s. She hosted a television show (Cilla) during the early 1970s on BBC. After doing some comedy acting in the late 70s, Black hosted the television programs "Blind Date" and "Surprise, Surprise". In 2013 she celebrated her 50th year in show business and was honored by the British network ITV with a television special.
