Ruhama McSherry was born in Pennsylvania in 1825. Ruhama was married to Ellis Kepler. Her maiden name is noted Kelly on son John's death certificate, daughter Amanda's lists McSherry, and many family trees have her listed as McSherry. Son Isaac's death certificate listed mother as Jane Robbins, but he's in the census with Ruhama all along.

Ruhama died in 1883, the same year her husband died and they are both buried at the Shintown Methodist Kepler Cemetery.
