Napolean was the son of Abner Alanson and Mary E. (Ferrell) Gunter. He married Cassie Langley in 1904 and they had six children: Dessie Hattie, Theodore Roosevelt, Lucy Mary, Edith Victoria, (Infant Son), and Ida Frances.

Mr. N. B. Gunter, aged 77, Ramseur, Route 2, died Monday morning after an illness of a few days.
Mr. Gunter is well know in this section having lived here all his life. he has many friends and relatives who will miss him. He was a good man and a faithful member of the Holiness church near his home.
he leaves a wife and several children of whom are married with families. Sons, John of Ramseur, Route 1, Earl of Greensboro and Buster a boy nearly grown at home. Daughters Mrs. W. T. McLeod of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Edwards of Greensboro and Mrs. Wright of near Staley. Two or three small children.
The funeral was held at the Ramseur cemetery Tuesday at one o'clock. The family has our sympathy in this sorrow.
