Margaret was born June 5, 1895, in Decatur, Illinois. She was the only daughter of Joseph Jerome McGinnity and Mary Redpath McGinnity. She married Aloysius Charles Lappen on June 30, 1923 in Decatur, Illinois then moved to Brooklyn, New York. Her husband, a WWI veteran, died March 22, 1944, in New York and is buried at Long Island National Cemetery. She and Aloysius did not have any children. After his death, she married Benedict Campion. She and Benedict also didn't have any children. After a short stay in Florida she moved to California where she would live to the age 89. She wanted to be buried with her parents and sister, and the only way she could do this was to be cremated. Her ashes are buried between her parent's graves.
