Major League Baseball Player. Real name Robert Daniel Kennedy. He was an outfielder and third baseman for sixteen seasons with the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and Brooklyn Dodgers. He was a member of the 1948 World Champion Indians. His best year occured in 1950 when he had a season high 157 hits and a .291 batting average. After retiring as a player, Kennedy managed the Chicago Cubs from 1963 to 1965 and the Oakland Athletics in 1968. Kennedy's son Terry was a longtime Major League catcher. In 1483 games he had 1176 hits and a .254 lifetime batting average.
