Sara Elaine Dresen, 13, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 9, 2015. She was born in Racine on April 14, 2002. Sara was about to enter the eighth grade at St. Catherine’s Middle School. She played softball for the City of Racine Dodgers and then for the Sturtevant Starz where she discovered her natural ability to play the catcher position. She was even selected for the 2015 All Star Team. Sara also loved to dance since she was a very little girl. She studied dance at the Racine Studio of Performing Arts. Her dance experience launched her into becoming a cheerleader which she also enjoyed very much. Her sister Emma was her cheer coach last year. Sara was a lover of music. She spent the last two years learning to play the acoustic and electric guitar. Sara’s love of music and animals lead her to work part-time at Copy Cat Music, Aquarium, and Pet Supply here in Racine. Sara is preceded in death by her grandmother, Phyllis Dresen.
