Alonzo Lafayette Ellis, age 59, of Princeton Avenue, West End, passed away at his residence Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. from Johns Service Chapel, Rev. J.S. Eddins officiating.
He is survived by his widow, Pearl; daughter, Elizabeth (Mrs. George Ernest) Kernodie; three sons, Clarence Ellis, Winfield Ellis and Haskell Ellis, all of Birmingham; granddaughter, Dorothy Pearl Kernodie; two sisters, Ida (Mrs. David O.) Valentine, Richmond, Virginia, and Edna (Mrs. Samuel T. Rich, Birmingham; two brothers, Robert Cleveland Ellis, Washington, D.C. and James Hubert Ellis, Richmond, Virginia.
