He was married to Geraldine Maire Tubbs [date of birth: 29 Jul 1922] in 1946 and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
He was a past employee of Rollermatic Welding Waunakee and Yahara Materials.
Norbert was a member of the Waunakee Legion Post 360 and St. Johns Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; five daughters, Ruth (Milton) Nicolle of Enterprise, Oregon; Lucia (Robert) Sovereign of Elroy; Mary (Ralph) Roddel of Kendall; Grace (Edward) Crook of Springbrook, Iowa and Cynthia Maier of Waunakee; four sons, Robbin (Annmarie) of Sandusky, Ohio; Daniel of Union Grove; Ted (Christine) of Waunakee and Chuck of Waunakee; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marian (Louis) Block of Madison; Elizabeth Maier of Cross Plains and Rose (Val) Ballweg of Sauk City; and five brothers, Elmer of Fall River; John of Cross Plain; Edwin (Louise) of Cross Plains; Harold of Madison and Joseph of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four children, John, Timothy, Jeanette and Jana [Jane]; a grandchild, Nova; and a brother, Jerome.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 13, 1996 at St. Johns Catholic Church, with Rev. Bruce Hennington officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
