Professional Basketball Player. At the stature of 6 feet, 10 inches, he was one of the tallest players in the NBA during his era and defended against the likes of such big men as Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell and Walt Bellamy. For four seasons (1961 to 1965), he played at the center position in the National Basketball Association with the Cincinnati Royals, St. Louis Hawks, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics. He attended St. Louis University High School and played collegiate basketball at St. Louis University. Selected by Cincinnati during the 3rd round of the 1961 NBA Draft, he totaled 133 regular season games. He played in 3 games with the Boston Celtics' squad which captured the NBA Title in 1965. Nordmann produced career-highs with 371 points and 316 total rebounds during the 1962-1963 season. After retiring from basketball, he worked in the computer industry. He was inducted into the St. Louis University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005.
