Wife of Claude Akins (deceased), passed peacefully at home and entered into the arms of her Saviour, Jesus Christ on June 12, 2006.
She leaves behind her children, Claude Akins Jr. of Petaluma, CA, Wendy Doniger of Fairfield, CT and Michelle Akins-Johnson of Idyllwild, CA; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters.
The family grieves but finds comfort in knowing that she is released from her physical body which endured many years of chronic pain.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 9:30 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 1527 Fremont Ave., South Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, please contributions to St. Ann's Maternity Home for Unwed Mothers, 155 North Occidental Blvd., L.A. 90026. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena.
