Major League Baseball Player. Real name Joseph Patrick Coleman. He was a pitcher for ten seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics, Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers. His best year was 1948 when he notched a season high 14 victories and was named to the American League All Star Team. His son Joseph Howard Coleman was also a Major League pitcher. In 223 career games, Coleman won 52, lost 76 and had a 4.38 lifetime ERA. Coleman served in the US Navy during World War II.
