A member of East Lake Methodist Church for 65 years, Mrs. Randolph founded and then taught the Randolph Sunday School Class for about 50 years.
A lifetime resident of Birmingham, she was a charter member of the Pierian Club in East Lake.
Mrs. Randolph was active in the DAUGHTER OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION and the UNITED DAUGHTERS OF THE CONFEDERACY, having served as state president of both the DAR and UDC and as regent of the state UDC.
She organized the Alexander H. Stephens chapter of the UDC and was a member of the William Speer DAR chapter. Besides being active in the SONS OF THE CONFEDERACY, Mrs. Randolph also organized the CHILDREN OF THE CONFEDERACY in Alabama.

RANDOLPH, MRS. MATTIE GRACE (BURWELL) age 81, 1364 Willoughby Road, passed away Friday morning at a local hospital. Funeral services Sunday 2:30 p.m., East Lake Methodist Church, REV. WOODLIN GROVE, DR. FOSTER GAMBLE, and DR. WILKIE COLLINS officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the husband of members of the RANDOLPH SUNDAY SCHOOL, East Lake Methodist church, Ridout's Brown-Service Roebuck Chapel, directing.
