Married Beatrice Elaine Smith September 24, 1948 in New Mexico. This this union were born 4 children: William Carl, Roy Wesley, Yvvona Elaine and Gwendolyn Kay Brinkley.

Eagle Creek resident, Duncan Brinkley died on September 27, 2015. A potluck gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 12:00 to 4:00 at The Community Center in Sandy, 38343 Pioneer Blvd. Sandy OR.

Duncan William Brinkley was born in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to William and Iva Mae Brinkley on June 5, 1929. His family later moved to New Mexico, where Duncan met and married Beatrice E. Smith on September 24, 1948. Together they had 4 children. Duncan fell in love with Oregon while working on the pipeline for the Bull Run Reservoir and he moved his family from California to Sandy, Oregon in 1962. He was a successful builder in the Sandy and surrounding areas for 30 years. He built many homes in the Sandy area.

After Duncan and Beatrice divorced, he met Phyllis Mizner. They were married on August 18, 1990. After which they moved and resided in Eagle Creek for the rest of his life. Together they, along with their children, owned and operated Old Farmhouse Nursery and most recently, Old Farmhouse Feed and Garden Center.

Duncan loved riding his tractor and working on the farm. He enjoyed the Farmer's Market that the family participated in every Saturday.

Survivors include; wife, Phyllis; children, Carl (Heidi), Gwen, Vona, Sarah Lynn, Vernon, and Wendy (Todd) grandchildren, Noah, Chloe, Caelan, Jerry, Cherise, Bobby, Denise, Jamie, Lindsey, Nathan, Toby, Haley, Cole, Erik, Hagan, Cole, Aiden, Brooke, Tyler, Richer, and Berkeley.

He was preceded in death by his son, Roy (Sherry).
