Anthony F. Valachovic
Anthony F. Valachovic, 79, of 106 Pleasant Avenue, died at 12:25 yesterday afternoon at Johnstown Hospital, where he had been a patient eight days. He had been in failing health two months.
He was born Jan. 2, 1895, in Kuty, Czechoslovakia, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Pollak Valachovic, and came to this country, settling in Johnstown, in 1911.
A glove worker, he reitred five years ago from the Hilts-Willard Company in Gloversville.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Church and of the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Paul T. Valachovic of Johnstown; two daughters Mrs. Mark Cominole of Gloversville and Mrs. William Carpenter of Chesapeake, Va.; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
