F. W. Threadgill was born in June 1857 and died August 27, 1908. He was converted to the Christian religion at the age of 18 and since that time was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Threadgill had been very sick at his home three miles north of the city for several weeks with typhoid fever, which caused his death. He leaves a wife, six children and a host of friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted at the Shiloh church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. H.H. Everett after which the remains were laid to rest in the Shiloh cemetery. From Lexington Leader, Friday, September 4, 1908.
