BATEMAN, Mildred Smalling Age 80, passed away July 8, 2010. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Bateman is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Ben Carlyle Bateman; daughter, Patricia McLean (John); son, Benny Bateman (Dianne); sister, Mary Napier; brother, Jerry Smalling; grandchildren, Carl Bateman, Carly Lannin, Clay Bateman, Brandon Bateman, Damon Hanvey and 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 with Bro. Jim Cross officiating at Hermitage Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum. Mrs. Bateman was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Donelson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joy Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held Friday, 4-8 p.m. at HERMITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN
