Lieutenant 18th Panzer Grenadier Regiment and son of General Field Marshal Erich von Manstein. He was killed in the northern sector of the Eastern Front and buried near Lake Ilmen. His name is on the gravestone of his parents in the cemetery of Dorfmark, and original sand from his Russian grave is scattered around the graveside.
