James was the son of John Wright and Ann Mullen.

On April 26, 1880 in Columbia he married Laura Jordan, daughter of William Riley Jordan and Sara Jane Sweet.

Their six children were Hattie May, Hittie H, Hittie H, Rhoda, a stillborn son in 1893, and another child who did not survive. The 1900 census only had Hattie May and Rhoda. The 1910 census stated they had 6 children of which only 2 were living.

Daughter Hattie H. died in 1887 at 4 months old; then there was a birth certificate for another Hattie H. in May 1891. The 2nd Hattie H. died before the 1900 census.

Age: 89yrs 0mos 25dys

Cause of Death: Senility

NOTE:
Neither James nor Laura are listed in the Nancy Dodge book for this cemetery, but both death certificates state they were buried in Columbia, NH. Her family and a couple of their children are buried here, so apparently they just didn't get headstones or they didn't survive (which doesn't seem possible).

His mother, Ann Mullen Wright, died on Apr 22, 1861 of Consumption in Milford, NH at the age of 22yrs 4mos. Her burial place is not known. In 1864 his father, 43, married Malvina Maria Osgood, 17. He listed it as his 1st marriage.
